      DescriptionDescription

      🔍 Description:
Margarita Snails are smaller, attractive grazers with smooth, gray-to-olive shells and a pearlescent underside. They are active during the day and night, making them efficient at managing algae in high-visibility areas like glass and upper rockwork.

Originally from colder Pacific waters, they are sometimes sold interchangeably with Mexican Turbos, but they are a different species with unique care needs — especially when it comes to temperature tolerance.

      Must HaveMust Have

      ✅ Why They're a Must-Have:

Great Algae Control: Excellent at clearing glass, pumps, and hard surfaces of nuisance algae and film.

Non-Disruptive: Small and light — they won’t topple frags or decorations like larger Turbo species can.

Reef Safe & Peaceful: Safe with all corals and inverts; they won’t bother other tank mates.

Highly Active: You'll often see them gliding up glass or over powerheads — very visible workers.

      Notes for SuccessNotes for Success

      ⚠️ Notes for Success:

Sensitive to Heat: Native to cooler waters; extended exposure to temps above 78–80°F may shorten their lifespan.

Shorter Lifespan in Tropical Tanks: Even under good care, they may only live 6–12 months in warmer systems.

Flip Assist Needed: Cannot always right themselves if flipped upside down.

Don’t Confuse with True Turbos: They’re not as hardy as Turbo fluctuosa (Mexican Turbo), despite the similar name.
