Cerith snails are small, cone-shaped snails with beautifully textured, spiraled shells that vary in color from dark brown to tan. They're slow movers but highly efficient workers that clean a wide range of surfaces, including glass, rocks, and sand.

These snails are unique in that they graze algae above and below the substrate. They’ll spend time on rockwork and glass during the day and burrow through the sand at night or when hiding, helping to aerate it gently.
